Beginner Drawing at Binders

Binders

An introductory class that presents to students the absolute basics of drawing. Students will learn to work with a variety of media including pencil, charcoal, and ink, while becoming familiar with techniques and styles associated with each. This is the perfect class for the student who is new to art, as well as for those who would like to further develop their skills.

Supply List (Not Included in Class Fee):
• pencils – 1 each: 4B, 2B, HB, 2H
• erasers – 1 each: kneaded, art gum, Pink Pearl
• pencil sharpener • charcoal – 2 sticks vine (can be purchased in packets), and 1 stick compressed
• Conte crayon – 1 each: white, brown, black
• black India ink (for drawing, not mechanical pens)
• pen staff and assorted pen points (Can be purchased in kit. Make sure for drawing, not lettering)
• brush suitable for ink (bamboo handled brush recommended)
• small containers for waters (plastic)
• cotton rag, paper towels
• ruler
• 1 sketchbook, approximately 14″ x 17″ in size (suitable for a variety of media)

WonderRoot’s Artist Market creates a space for 40 local artists to sell their wares the first Sunday each month. The WonderRoot Artist Market connects Atlanta residents to artists and makers by facilitating a platform for creatives to sustain themselves and build relationships.

WonderRoot is an arts organization that works to improve the cultural and social landscape of Atlanta through creative initiatives and community partnerships. This week, Burke Connolly offers Irish Dance Classes from 6:15pm-7:45pm, and the Trees Atlanta Sunset Arboretum tour ends right here.
