Artist Talk: Richard Thomas Scott @ Atlanta Gallery Collective

Spalding Nix Fine Art presents an Artist Talk with Richard Thomas Scott at Atlanta Gallery Collective, highlighting the artist’s post-contemporary figurative paintings and writings on aesthetic theory. Working between New York and Paris, and originally from Georgia, Scott’s goal is to explore the depth of the human soul. In his artist statement for his latest painting “New Amsterdam,” Scott writes: “Though in my work I seek answers, I do not presume to answer them myself. The best I can hope is to contribute more nuanced questions. I believe that art can affect the direction of culture.” Scott’s work is in many collections including The New Britain Museum of American Art and the Georgia Museum of Art.
