October 15 | 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm

PCM Community Farmers Market

The Shed

Located under “The Shed” on the BeltLine entrance of Ponce City Market, the Ponce City Farmers Market is the only farmers market in Georgia primarily attended by pedestrians and cyclists. The market is held seasonally on Tuesday evenings, and hosts some of Atlanta’s finest local food talent, including urban farmers, artisanal food makers, as well as pop-up chefs. Our market is a producer-only market, meaning that vendors sell only products that they grow or produce themselves. Our farmers use organic practices (some going even beyond organic) to help steward the earth while producing the freshest and most nutritious food available in Georgia. Look for veggies and fruits, pasture-raised eggs and meats, alongside artisanal food vendors and natural beauty-care vendors.

We encourage shoppers to access the market by walking or biking on the Beltline or park at Ponce City Market. Parking is complimentary for farmers market shoppers in the lots in front of Mountain High Outfitters. Market shoppers can receive one hour of free parking in these lots by choosing zone 22200 and inputting the code FARMERS2018 in the Park Mobile app. This is only valid during market.

Atlanta Architecture & Design Center will host the fourth installment of popular event series Dining + Design at Ponce City Market. Attendees will enjoy food and drink from restaurants and shops within Ponce City Market, a walking tour, and speeches from key players behind the development’s design.

Guests will first meet for drinks and bites at The Mercury—a cocktail-focused, classic American eatery—and discussion with local architecture, planning and design firm Square Feet Studio, who designed the restaurant. Next, the group will head to Citizen Supply—an artisan marketplace that connects consumers with local makers behind craftsman-quality handmade goods. Citizen Supply’s Founder Phil Sanders and a local maker will lead the conversation as guests enjoy local beer from TAP on Ponce, a beer and wine shop in the Central Food Hall, and bites from Chef Linton Hopkins’ Hop’s Chicken.

The evening will conclude with beers and bites at Nine Mile Station, the modern beer garden on Ponce City Market’s rooftop. Attendees will hear background on the 2.1-million-square-foot iconic structure from Mark Blair, corporate architect at Jamestown, the real estate investment and management company behind the property. Rooftop access is included in the event’s ticket price, and will also allow guests to visit Skyline Park, Ponce City Market’s six-acre rooftop with a boardwalk-style amusement park featuring a mini golf course, three-story slide, free-fall ride, food and drink concessions, panoramic views of the Atlanta skyline, and more.

Books & Booze: Lovecraft County

City Winery

Ponce City Market’s Posman Books and The City Winery have teamed up to put a new spin on the term “book club.” Literature lovers can purchase their copy of the month’s Halloween selection today from Posman Books and later bring it to Atlanta’s urban winery on October 15th, 7 pm – 9 pm, to enjoy a “spirited” discussion among fellow readers. Posman Books’ General Manager and horror/humor enthusiast Marc Stiles will host.

Lovecraft Country follows Atticus Black as he joins up with his friend Letitia and his Uncle George to embark on a road trip across 1950s Jim Crow America in search of his missing father. This begins a struggle to survive and overcome both the racist terrors of white America and the terrifying monsters that could be ripped from a Lovecraft paperback. An upcoming drama-horror television series, based on the novel, is set to premiere on HBO soon. The series is produced by Monkeypaw Productions, Bad Robot Productions, and Warner Bros. Television with executive producers including Jordan Peele, Misha Green, J. J. Abrams, and Ben Stephenson. Read the book and join us at The City Winery for a great, Halloween-themed evening!

Posman Books

Meet author, Erskine Hawkins Jr on October 19th at Posman Books Ponce City market from 1 pm – 3 pm and get your book signed!

Stepchild is the saga of the Gibsons, Adrienne and Josh, a fictional contemplation of love and race in America in the post-civil rights movement era. Set in Atlanta, Georgia, during the 1980s, it chronicles the love affair of Josh, a dispirited soul haunted by tragedy, and Adrienne, the love of his life. Determined to provide a solution rather than a conversation about America’s most enduring problem-race-Adrienne is pursuing her doctorate in sociology when she arrives at Morehouse College and meets the man she will come to call my Josh. They fall in love amongst the ruins of the crack epidemic beginning to rage through America and struggle with Josh’s battle to overcome an addiction to the devil’s dandruff. Loss seems to be the theme of their life together, but they never cease to believe in the power of love-the same belief Adrienne bequeaths her community in her dissertation, a document dedicated to the power and consequence of choice.

This week, PCFM welcomes the Georgia Forestry Foundation and the Chattahoochee Nature Conservancy for special programming in conjunction with National Forest Products Week. Join us and learn how working forests provide products that are essential to our everyday survival, comfort, and progress.

Naughty vs. Nice Parade @ The Beltline

Are you naughty or nice? It’s time to choose a team! His heart now three sized larger (track it on instagram!), the Grinch is on a mission to  SLAY-ride along the Atlanta Beltline. If you’re feeling naughty, the public is invited to meet him at 10:30AM with raucous brass/hip hop band John Boy + Surround Sound and his merry band of misfits in tow, and follow the Green Grand Marshall as he leads community participants with LED balloons from Krog Street all the way down the Beltline to Ponce City Market. Feeling kinder? March with Santa instead on team nice! The parade will culminate with a grand finale arrival at The Shed at Ponce City Market for the official holiday kickoff at noon.

2019-10-22 16:00:00 2019-10-22 20:00:00 America/New_York PCM Community Farmers Market Located under “The Shed” on the BeltLine entrance of Ponce City Market, the Ponce City Farmers Market  is the only farmers market in Georgia primarily attended by pedestrians and cyclists. The market is held seasonally on Tuesday evenings, and hosts some of Atlanta’s finest local food talent, including urban farmers, artisanal food makers, as well as pop-up chefs. This week, PCFM welcomes the Georgia Forestry Foundation and the Chattahoochee Nature Conservancy for special programming in conjunction with National Forest Products Week. Join us and learn how working forests provide products that are essential to our everyday survival, comfort, and progress. The Shed

The Plaza

Come celebrate all things sewing with our first annual Atlanta Frocktails party. We are so excited to be hosting this event in partnership with Fabricate Studios.

What is Frocktails?

Frocktails is an event that provides sewists in our community an opportunity to socialize with sewing friends (both old & new!), show off a fancy hand-made garment, and enjoy some small bites and signature cocktails. We are excited to host this event that has swept its way from Australia, to Europe, to Canada, and most recently, to the United States!

Included in the price of your ticket:

  • Taco station and chips and dips provided by Minero
  • 2 signature cocktail tickets provided by Likewise (but there will be a cash bar all night as well!)
  • A gift pack
  • One raffle ticket
  • Professional photographer snapping your outfit
  • An excuse to dress super fancy in your #memade best & meet other members of our sewing community!
  • hang on to your order confirmation – it will be your ticket and we will check off guest list names at the entrance to frocktails

Place: Frocktails will be held at the Plaza* along the Beltline at Ponce City Market.

*To get to the Plaza, go to the 2nd level of Ponce City Market and follow signs towards the Beltline. When you reach the covered area called The Shed, just before the Beltine, take a right and walk past the end of the covered area of The Shed. The Plaza will be on your right. Atlanta Frocktails volunteers will be outside helping to guide attendees to the event room.

Dining + Design @ at Ponce City Market
