Our second Screenprinting Studio theme is focused on housing justice, accessibility, sustainable housing and issues around homelessness. The launch event is free and open to the public, and kid friendly. Each guest will be encouraged to talk about the issues and create their own free print using a stencil made by local artists, including Julian Cano, Neka King, and Monica Alexander. Our community partners include City for All and Living Transit Fund.

France la Fête de la musique, a day where professional and amateur musicians celebrate the Summer solstice by playing music in the streets, concert halls, parks, markets. Since its creation in the 1980s, it has spread around the world but not Atlanta until now. Please come join us on The Shed as Eyedrum Art & Music Gallery in partnership with Atlanta’s Parisian School of Music present “Make Music Day 2017” as various musical groups play to celebrate the beginning of Summer.

In this workshop, Meredith Kooi will introduce participants to philosophies of listening, soundmapping, and soundwalking, with the emphasis on using these tools for conversation and improvisation. Drawing on the work of Pauline Oliveros and Hildegard Westerkamp, the workshop will teach participants ways to tune into their environment and others surrounding them.

Please come join us on The Shed as Eyedrum Art & Music Gallery in partnership with Atlanta’s Parisian School of Music present “Make Music Day 2017” as various musical groups play to celebrate the beginning of Summer.
