SOLVING SOCIAL PROBLEMS WITH TECHNOLOGY @ at General Assembly

Atlanta is a proud city with a very diverse population and a growing economy. However, there are serious issues in our city that are threatening our neighbors. According to a Brookings Institute report, “Atlanta has the highest income inequality among the nation’s 50 largest cities” for the second year in a row. Even regionally 1 in 5 Gerogians live in poverty.

While realities like this are grim, they do not have to be true for the future of our city. Every day there are more and more entrepreneurs, social good organizations, non-profits, and startups who are using technology to solve some of our cities most challenging problems. Meet the doers who are using data science, web development, and business acumen to make Atlanta a more equalitarian and healthy city.

Stay for a happy hour after the panel and meet other civically minded Atlantans within the tech, business, design, and nonprofit space!
