Explore 'A Place Called Home,' the inaugural exhibition by A Permanent Address, a pop-up gallery and studio held at The Plaza from February 15 to March 9. Curated by Tione Trice - the spatial designer and founder of OF THE CLOTH - the exhibition unfolds as an immersive art therapy session, encapsulating the current transitional phase we encounter in our living environments.
The exhibition features a collection of artworks, including paintings, sculptures, and photography, by contemporary Black artists like Sha’Tori Larkins-Graham, Taylor Jackson, Joseph Abu, XXavier Polk, Brice Esso, and Fabian Williams. Alongside these pieces, OF THE CLOTH presents a selection of carefully curated items that reflect the inspirations of the exhibited pieces.
In addition to the exhibits, the gallery will host several interactive events, including an opening night celebration on February 15, a soothing tea ceremony with Muse Wellness, a live music, and an artist talk.
About A Permanent Address:
A Permanent Address is a gallery and studio whose ethos intricately explores the profound connections between objects, the formation of spaces, and the preservation of our ultimate home: our bodies. This practice goes beyond conventional design paradigms, viewing individuals not just as inhabitants but as embodiments of space, narrative, movement, sound, and all the mediums in which we manifest.
Location:
The Plaza is located on the ground level of Ponce City Market’s new residential building, Signal House, on the BeltLine.
